Miner's Ace Hardware

My husband and I have been shopping at this store for over 15 yrs. We acknowledge that items are more expensive here than the bigger brand stores, but to keep the money in our town we choose to overlook that sometimes significant difference. One thing that would somewhat ease that issue, was the accepting all coupons expired or not. We've come to learn this is no longer the case. I can understand not accepting the expired mass produced coupons. What I don't understand is not taking earned rewards if expired. Sometimes it's not convenient to get there or I don't need anything within that window of time. Earned $ should never expire. We love the courteous, always helpful staff. However, we will not be so generous with our spending at your store if this is how you choose to take care of those whom take care of you.

Without naming names, I came.to have my car key cut. I had my own key and I only needed it cut. It was done with no charge. However, my key did not work. I guess it has to do with the ignition of my Toyota Corolla

Went in to the store and saw the clear storage bins were on sale for 13.99. I went to check out and they came up as 19.99. I told them they were marked 13.99 and they said it was labeled wrong. They had a big sign taped to the storage bins on the shelf saying 13.99. And they wouldnt honor that price. I left my whole cart there and didnt buy the few hundred dollars worth of product i was buying. They did try to offer me a 20 % discount on the bins which would have not made up the difference. So i decided to make the drive into san luis where the same bins are 8.50 at costco.

Always the best crew and excellent customer service wrapped up in a small town hardware store that is very well stocked!

Friendly staff exorbitant at the registrar. Seasonal items are enjoyable to look at. I bought a couple books to read up on the area, from Los Osos to Nipomo and in between cities.
